Outfit details: Old Navy Striped Top (click for similar)
Anthropologie Triple Strand headband (similar with pearls)
J. Crew Solid Lieutenant Jacket, DIY and vintage "flair"
Joe's Kickers (last year's, this year's here)
UO camera necklace (handmade similar)
J. Crew Caden Cork Wedges

This is what I wore to work today, and later to see the Temper Trap with one of my favorite girls. Between allergies and craziness with projects at school this week, I feel pretty wiped out! A comfortable and casual outfit sounded like an excellent idea. I couldn't be happier!

The wedges were added to my wardrobe on Saturday on the crazy Lenox mall excursion with Maria and Fallon. (For those of you wondering, these J. Crew wedges run teeny! I am always either a 6 or 6.5 in most brands, never a 7, but I had to size up to a 7 in these. Just FYI.)

I am also adding a pair of Swedish Hasbeens to my shoe closet soon. Those, and the Target x Cynthia Vincent wedges are going to use up the rest of my shoe budget for several months. Goodness! Very excited about being super tall in all of my jazzy shoes this summer!

By the time you read this, I will probably be at the show tapping my toes and snapping my fingers like a dork. Have a great weekend, y'all!

  3. Great casual outfit – I'll be wearing similar ones! :) What color Hasbeens did you get? I really like that style but am afraid they'd be too narrow for me. I did find some fun t-strap clog sandals that I'm excited about – now if it would just warm up here!

  4. You look great! I am so jealous that you get to see Temper Trap! Let me know how they are. I cannot wait for the new Target wedges... I just wore some serious wedges to the Yeasayer show and I was so glad because I was comfy *and* tall!

  5. WWANW--Somehow that extra paycheck I earned during job transitions stretched further than I thought! That and an unexpected number of sales in my shop. If you can afford to, I think they're worth it. I also wanted to get them before the SJP/SATC hype for them got insane.

e.--I got the mustard yellow! I'm tempted to go back for the pastel super sky high ones in mint or pink if I can swing it.

Maria--The show was incredible! The crowd was an interesting mix though, normally I know atleast 10% of the crowd at Atlanta shows. I drive up to Nashville for shows occasionally if you wanted to meet up there sometime!

  8. So were your wedges like clouds under your feet?

  9. Fallon--Hahaha, they were relatively comfortable considering the height. I wore them today romping around Little 5 Points, thrift shopping, and going on errands for 5-6 hours and felt no pain.

  10. Anjali--I toooootally want the mint sky high ones too! Maybe with my next paycheck... I've found the pink version on some US sites with free shipping but would really rather do the mint.
