The annual Inman Park fest is this weekend, and I live right in the middle of all of the fun times. This eliminates the issue of parking, but did not do anything for the scary weather yesterday! Storm clouds were brewing and spewing most of the day to make for a very wet day outdoors for vendors and visitors.

I ended up spending all of my day indoors working in Decatur and was not too sad to miss the downpour. Perhaps today I will have the chance to walk over and enjoy some yummy snacks and pick up some artists' wares.

This is what I wore yesterday to work and then to the Phoenix concert. I actually convinced the two girlfriends I was going with to coordinate outfits with me--we chose to wear shades of red, white, and blue to represent the French flag. I was a 60s girl scout sailor. My dance partners wore an adorable  vintage Gidget-inspired frock and a very Blair Waldorf ensemble, complete with the perfect shoes. With all of the sprinting through the rain and my incessant screaming and jumping up and down, we were unable to procure proper glamour shots. Photog boyfriend was grateful.

And those of you who follow me on Twitter have probably heard enough about the shoes in today's outfit. The Cynthia Vincent for Target wedges? I went to four stores on Sunday morning  last week and came up empty handed. I ordered the yellow (online only) for myself since I came home to find the tan sold out on the site. I continued the expedition to fulfill some requests from very important girlfriends and didn't come across the coveted tan gladiator wedges until I went to something like eight stores total. I feel like this article sums up my frustration with the whole experience.

For those of you who are still looking--it seems that stores are expected to restock in mid-May. Good luck--sometimes the retailer mysteriously and randomly restocks seemingly impossible-to-find items.

  1. You look ADORABLE, Jinah! I think if they restock and I can find them, I'm going to get another pair of the gladiators. Not sure which color, tho! I think the yellow looks fantastic with your outfit.

  2. I went all the way to Vacaville, about an hour and a half from here, to the Target there and found the brown wedges. None were my size, though. I did find the black heels, and they were so cute! I never, ever wear 4 inches, abut once I had them on, I couldn't take them off. They are the most comfortable pair of shoes I have! I am in totally in love.

I've been eyeing that Dear Creature dress. Love the mustard shoes with it!

  3. I think I love the yellow pair of the CV wedges best, but if Target ever restocks, I think I'll get the light brown color.

You looked great for Saturday, regardless of the craptastic weather.

  5. you look wonderful! I already want that dress and I went to all the targets in my area looking for those shoes too. I really wanted the yellow ones but they only had the sandals and the colored wedges! agh!

  6. Ah, I love that Dear Creatures dress! Why is everything they make so adorable? Why do I fit into barely any of it either? ;)

I feel you on the Cynthia Vincent frustration, though I was lucky enough to stumble upon a pair, the last pair of CV shoes in my store, in a 10, that fit me, even though I normally wear an 11. I took it as a sign :)

Hope you enjoyed seeing Phoenix! They were at Coachella and they absolutely killed. They were definitely the most popular band at the festival (which surprised me since they weren't a closing act) -- half the fairgrounds filled up with people pausing and gathering to listen to them!

  7. Justine--From everything I've read, both the black and yellow were online only. I can definitely see you in the black pair. Please show us if you snag them!

Tien--Oh my goodness, the wedge hunt was horrible! I'm glad you were able to participate in the collabo in a different way, though.

Lisa--I will keep an eye out for you! I found a secret local Target that I will now visit for all of my Target collaboration trips now.

Eli--All of the stores closest to me only had the multicolored wedge! Isn't that so weird and crazy how they decided to roll this one out?

Anjali--I didn't know when/if you were back from your trip!! They did have size 11s up on the Target site for a good snap longer than the other sizes. I'm glad you got yourself a pair! And the Phoenix show was killer! I'm so glad I got tickets way in advance since I missed their last visit here.

  8. You're not the first one that had this issue with those shoes! I have read on numerous blogs (and experienced this myself!) They are super cute!

  9. That's so cute that you and your girlfriends coordinated outfits - sounds like y'all had a great time!
Love this outfit, that dress is super cute! I like the yellow CV wedges better than the tan. I was at my local Target this morning and didn't even think of looking. I would be taller than my hubby if I wore those wedges, and he wouldn't like that, lol. I briefly looked at the Zac Posen clothes, but wasn't really impressed. I did notice that the LOL clothing was already on the clearance rack for 30% off. Oh, I have the same vintage Coach purse! :-)
