Happy Monday blogosphere!
Funny thing about me. I have a bad habit of holding onto new clothing for an extended "trial period" before actually wearing it. I bought this dress the day I found out it was in stores a few weeks ago and just now pulled it out. I think it was lingering in the overpopulated navy dress section of my closet and it got lost in the fold.
Oh and I suppose there was the issue of the sleeve holes. Like many of the reviews on the Anthro site and as many other bloggers have noticed, the armholes are really really teeny on this. I had a few ideas to discuss with my alterations lady, but I procrastinated too long and just really wanted to wear the dress today. After fussing at my athletic crew/volleyball/yoga/ice cream eating contest winner arms, I decided to just go with it unbuttoned with a top layer.
I'm in a vintage and vintage-inspired frock mood this week. I plan to bring my favorites out into rotation this week if the weather allows.
The Two Wheeler looks great on you! I especially love this dress paired with red heels. I really wish the sleeves weren't so tight on this dress! Plus, I think it's too long on me. How tall are you? It looks just right!
ReplyDeleteI am with you on the trial period. Things will hang in my closet while I introduce it to the rest of my wardrobe. If I don't reach for it in two weeks, back it goes!
Oh Jinah -I just love today's outfit! The Two Wheeler is perfect, perfect, perfect on you!!!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see more of your dresses this week!
Beautiful dress!! :)
ReplyDeleteYou look fantastic in that piece! Shirt dresses are made for you - you look great.
ReplyDeleteYou. Are. Adorable. I love this dress with the cardigan! The arm holes ARE way too small, so it has nothing to do with your awesome arms, haha! Let's see those dresses!
ReplyDeleteI think I'm officially in love with everything in your closet now
ReplyDeleteLoL, you totally cracked me up with the 2nd pic of you grimacing at the sleeves!! The two wheeler looks absolutely lovely on you! I wore mine on Mothers Day with the looping lanes belt & red sandals. :)
ReplyDeleteYour photos and outfits are always so cute. I always look forward to seeing what you're wearing- and I love the pants/skirts/dress variety as well :-) lots to get inspiration from!
ReplyDeleteTien--I am right between 5'4" and 5'5". I think the length would be a smidge too long if I were in flats.
ReplyDeleteKim--Thanks sweetness! I have my fingers crossed that the weather will allow me to wear my awesome new/old dress I got this weekend!
AmyK--I know right? I feel like they're designed for toothpick people. Yuck.
Athena--I wanted this dress so ridiculously badly when I first caught wind of it. The armhole problem was such a huge disappointment!
Ade--You're so sweet!
