So Swedish retailer H&M is planning on opening, oh 4 stores here in Georgia. While technically they are huge competition for the company I currently work for, I'm pumped for affordable fashions.
What's the problem? They keep pushing back the opening date, and it is MAKING ME CRAZY! At first the Atlantic Station location (the big, 2/3 story one with women's, men's and children's) was going to be open by March. Then by "late spring 2008" and the most current news from a friend who was hired to work at that location is now JUNE. How frustrating. But I suppose it'll be worth the wait considering that will be the "good" H&M and the others out in the suburbs (North Point, Town Center, Mall of Georgia) will primarily carry women's.
According to the H&M official site, the North Point location will open this Thursday, May 8th at noon. And according to the AJC, the first few hundred customers will receive gift certificates with varying amounts. I already picked up all the Marimekko tribute things I wanted, but I sure as hell will be in that line Thursday morning.
This store, unfortunately will only carry women's. It looks like it could be pretty big - it's in the old Waldenbooks space on the lower level.
