Military Inspired for Rainy Days

Outfit details: J. Crew Lieutenant Jacket in Black (reads navy IRL)
Beaded floral applique sweater by Knitted and Knotted
Orla Kiely classic shoulder bag (this season's print here)
J. Brand 910 skinnies in Black
Hunter Wellies in navy

After being so giddy that it is finally Spring Break, I guess it slipped my mind that I got a new job! I've been busy running around from three different gigs this week, and as a result, I'm way behind on reading and writing.

This is what I wore to run errands yesterday, hanging out everywhere from North Atlanta to Decatur. It has been constantly drizzling this week, and since I'm out and about so much, I opted for the weatherproof purse option. My Rebecca Minkoff purses are not happy when water damaged!

The sweater is an older Anthro piece I got in the summer of 2008 marked down.  The jacket was something I just had to have on my J. Crew spree. The food baby is courtesy of constant snacking and Nuevo Laredo takeout.

  1. hehehehehehe! I should be banned from posting like this... remember the time we went to costcos in the rain to find a mattress thingy and I then walked around the mall with a double pack of english muffins in my purse.

    Taught you would enjoy that.

  2. The punches of color from the Orla bag and the sweater really keep this look bright and cheery, even in the rain. I imagine that if I were to see you in the street, running your errand, you'd probably bring a smile to my face.

  3. I love the sweater, and the wellies! I wish I could get away with them here :(

  4. Tien-Orla Kiely bags are my go-to rainy day bags. I especially love that they add a cheery detail to an otherwise dreary day.

Meldee-The weather here is really humid and sometimes when it rains, it comes down in sheets and sheets! Rain boots are necessary for fjording the currents of rainwater that suddenly appear.

  5. I love the sweater, and the wellies! I wish I could get away with them here :(

Bonjour y'all! Thanks for stopping by.
