Oops, better late than never!
This week's theme: Alice.
This week's theme: Alice.
I've been mentally preparing for the new Alice in Wonderland movie for weeks and weeks. Rewatching a few of my Tim Burton favorites, planning what I was going to wear to see the movie, hunting around for thrifted teacups for the tea party I didn't have enough time to plan...
The movie itself has met some mixed reviews, but I'm excited regardless. In celebration, here are a few things that feel Alice-inspired.
Curiouser and curiouser.
Clockwise, from top left:
- Cupcake Floral Doll Tea Dress by priscilladawn, $94. Now, if you are going to be attending a proper tea party, you need a dress! I think this one is just perfect. Priscilla will even custom make this for your measurements. Check out her shop for more awesome handmade frilly dresses!
- Floral Porcelain Teacup Earrings by CuteAbility, $14. I don't know why I didn't snatch up the Betsey Johnson teacup earrings from 2008, but since they've sold out, I've been looking for an alternative. I think these are it! The CuteAbility shop is stocked with so many other amazing goodies too, like a great array of owl necklaces, and an assortment of cuckoo clock pieces!
- Alice Through the Looking Glass Etched Vintage Hand Mirror by TheHeartHunters, $35. While we're collecting pretty things, we can add this reworked vintage hand mirror to the lovely things on the vanity. I love the extra details of the blue ribbon and clock face charm on the handle!
- Lips Fascinator Teardrop Hat by BubblesAndFrown, $44.44. I had to include a fancy headpiece! Tiny hats have been intriguing me more and more lately, and I feel that this fascinator is perfect for the Queen of Hearts. Check out the rest of this Etsy shop for amazing Mad Hatter approved top hats!
- Antique Teacup Ring Holder by whomadeit, $38.50. I am always looking for unique ways to stow my growing collection of jewelry, and it just so happens that my current ring bowl is overflowing. I love this practical and pretty ring holder! You can even put your slinky bracelets in the teacup with your rings! There are a few other colors available if you love the style but your boudoir is themed in different shades.
Holy crap, those tea cup earrings are adorable! And more vintagey/romantic looking that the Betsey Johnsons, so even better in my book. And I love that mirror too, so pretty. I always enjoy your etsy features Jinah, and what a fun theme this week =)
ReplyDeleteThat dress is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLar and I went to see Alice in Wonderland this past weekend and loved. The storyline is better than the original because it's more of a classic hero's journey. The fashion is, of course, fantastic as well. Can't wait to hear what you think of it!
I LOVE these! That dress is so adorable. TOTALLY Alice in Wonderland!!

I saw Alice over the weekend and LOVED it! It did not disappoint one bit. I got a huge smile on my face when I saw 2 girls dressed as Alice & the Red Queen as they were trying to find a seat.
ReplyDeleteLove your Etsy theme and those teacup earrings are ridiculously cute.
