I am still slowly and painfully working through my belongings, trying to lighten the load and finally shake the title of "hoarder extraordinaire." As for how that applies to the closet? I've decided it's use it or lose it.

A little red flag started frantically waving in the back of my mind when my favorite, most maximalist friend revealed that her method to approaching her wardrobe was that anything goes, as long as she had less stuff than I did. My eyes widened and I shrieked back at her, "Mine too! With your closet! We need an intervention!"

And so, in a frantic attempt to continue to hoard my favorite past hits, I returned a slew of new items that weren't nearly as near and dear to me, and am pulling some oldies but goodies back into rotation. Thus, the skirt and jacket. The top, admittedly a new addition, matches with 95% of my skirts, so it stays.

Hello, my name is Jinah, and I am a shopaholic.

  5. Hahaha Jinah, your story made me literally laugh out loud. If it makes you feel better, not even one of my friends comes close to my level of clothes hoarding, so there's been no one to make me feel better and yet I kept it up all the same! :) I decided at new year's though I had to make a drastic efforts towards minimalism too, and I've been likewise taking small steps to pare down my closet. Harder than it sounds for sure!

  6. OMG, I am literally LOL! I'm afraid to let anyone see the inside of my closet. I know no one I know comes close to the amount of clothes I own. I'm even at the point where I try not to let DH catch glimpses of my closet, lest I give him more material for reasons why I should NOT be shopping.

Love that skirt... I am still kicking myself for not buying one myself.

there's only 1 closet in my loft, so i have to share it with my man. my side is embarrassing, even after donating 2 bags of clothes.

  8. The saddle shoes really bring out the retro vibe in the skirt. And the ruffles in the Clinton trench really add a fun, feminine, flirty touch. Have a great week!
